Visiting Sifu Grandmaster Leung Shum in New York City - 2019

While living in NYC, Sifu Lee was a highly ranked forms and weapons competitor in open tournaments.  He was named runner up 1983 Kung Fu National Competitor of the Year by IKF magazine.  Later, he moved to Sacramento, CA and taught kung fu and tai chi there from 1988 to 2000.  In addition, Benson Lee established a successful 25 year hotel executive management career with full asset responsibility over branded hotels by Marriott, Hilton, and Sheraton.  Post covid pandemic, Sifu Lee has decided to return to teaching full-time to train and mentor more future instructors and sifus.  Today, Sifu Lee is often invited to judge and demonstrate at traditional martial arts competitions.  He is a Board Advisor with TCMAF of Southern CA.  Hall of Fame inductee by ICMAC in 2021 and ACMAI in 2019.

Sifu Lee's teachings emphasize agility, footwork, and having a strong foundation in eagle claw kung fu skills and fighting strategies.  Effective self-defense requires keen overall awareness, quick analysis, seamless reaction speed, sharp techniques, and precision strikes with explosive power at specific vital targets.
